Bourne's Bar is a non-alcoholic bar and chill-out zone for young people aged 14+ that sells soft-drinks and food. It has a pool table, dart board, gaming console area, and a seating area with bean bags and a jukebox.
Bourne's Bar was established in 2019 as a community initiative to provide young people with an alternative to gathering in outdoor public spaces. It is supported through public and private funding. Because the bar does not only rely on sales, customers are under no pressure to purchase food or drink or to leave if they are not eating or drinking.
